I'm not wholly opposed. Masks seem a basic precaution, [ miasma! ] And we've funds for bucking the wash when this is done. But if you go into Kirkwall today, you will hear half a dozen folk remedies, and any as plausible.

Those which we choose to employ are a gamble not of coin, but of the trust placed in us. If you're told to carry a rabbit's foot, and you still take with fever, will you listen when told not to go out?
